Hopler Wood Co. is an event rentals + custom design furniture company specialising in handcrafted, reclaimed timber pieces with a modern rustic edge. Our hire collection includes bars, tables, benches, lounge furniture, ceremony archways, bar troughs and beautifully rustic chalkboards, signs & vintage props. From our workshop tucked away in the beautiful Scottish Borders we deliver throughout the Borders, Edinburgh & Lothians, Northumberland and beyond.

We're passionate about the outdoors so are working towards making as many of our rental items as possible outdoor-proof. The British weather may be generally against us, but on that rare occasion, in the right setting there's no excuse not to get outside, enjoy the fresh air and beautiful views with amazing friends.

how it all started

Our story began nearly eleven years ago in the breathtaking South Island town of Queenstown, NZ. Where, high in adopted kiwi ingenuity, or so we thought, we had begun collecting scrap pallet timber to fill our hungry wood burning stove as the winter nights grew colder. With a growing pile of leftover timber, a love for creating and a feeling that there was more here than just firewood, a new-found passion for woodwork was unearthed. Combined with a love of the outdoors we started crafting rustic timber pieces to enjoy the beautiful scenery.

What started out as a hobby crafting unique furniture to fill our home and garden, soon grew into requests for custom pieces and sparked the idea that led to us starting Hopler Wood Co.

While we may now be on the other side of the world, our vision remains the same - to create unique, reclaimed timber pieces that bring people together, to gather around, share stories and enjoy the party.
